day 71 of self-quarantine: we all have that one candy that we have all loved as a kid but now know we can’t handle the sugar rush from as adults. well, for one of us, it’s reese’s peanut butter cups (guilty as charged).
and while my metabolism as a kid could handle this affection (affliction?) bravely, it doesn’t have the same vigor and energy anymore, let’s be realistic.
solution? recreate the candy with non-processed ingredients.
meet the Reese’s Bowl — it’s in a bowl instead of a cup and allows to enjoy nostalgia after childhood cravings, but without the jitters.
Here’s the Recipe:
1 frozen banana
1 tablespoons of cocoa powder
A pinch of shredded coconut
1 heaping tablespoon of peanut butter
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder (optional: can also replace with 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract)
A splash of almond milk to get the blender going
